We are one of Uttara's most cutting-edge and skilled physiotherapy facilities. We ensure that our patients live happy, healthy lives.

Impact in the patient life

Physiotherapy has been around for centuries; however, it was established as a formal association in Bangladesh in 1973. The benefits of physiotherapy are well supported by scientific research and it is today a key component of all amateur and professional sports. By lowering pain and stiffness, enhancing mobility, and speeding up injury recovery, physiotherapy in Perth enhances quality of life. From the young to the elderly, practically anybody may benefit from physiotherapy in Perth. Numerous illnesses, including injuries, joint issues, fractures, back and neck pain, arthritis, and muscular issues, can be treated with physio Como. More than only treating acute illnesses, physiotherapy may also be used to treat and manage a variety of chronic disorders.

Our Services

Exercise Therapy

Mobilization

Mobilization is a manual therapeutic technique that fosters movement in stagnant tissues and joints. By re-introducing small amounts of pressure to the affected area, the rate and amount of blood flow increases in and around the area due to the temporary inflammation. Mobilization is based on the theory that the manual manipulation will help initiate and promote the healing process of the affected soft tissues.

Trigger Point Release

Trigger point therapy is a neuromuscular therapy designed to speed up recovery from injury, correct muscular imbalances and relieve pain. Inflammation occurs when a muscle is injured. The body recognizes this and this causes pain which makes you protect the muscle to prevent further damage. The pressure of trigger point therapy ‘reprograms’ the neuromuscular system so that pain decreases.

Active movement

The active exercise is the repetition of active movement which requires muscle contraction to produce and control any movement. Often the muscle contraction is voluntary, but many a time exercising movement can be produced by reflex contraction of the muscle. Contraction of muscle to produce movement is the essential feature of active exercise.

Passive movement

Passive exercises are directed towards the flexibility of body parts. Relaxed passive movement, forced passive movement and stretching are the subcategories of passive exercises. During Relaxed passive movement exercise, a joint is moved through the existing range of motion. Forced passive movements are localized quick movements where the joints are moved passively beyond the existing range.

Stretching

Stretching is a physical exercise that requires putting a body part in a certain position that'll serve in the lengthening and elongation of the muscle or muscle group and thus enhance its flexibility and elasticity. Improves flexibility delaying impaired mobility associated with aging. It also improves performance in physical activities as a result of improved flexibility, reduces the risk of injury and damage. It helps blood circulation reducing muscle soreness and time for recovery and increases the range of motion.

Strengthening

Strengthening exercises are exercises which are designed to increase the strength of specific or groups of muscles. Strengthening exercises overload the muscle until the point of muscle fatigue. This force and overload of a muscle encourages the growth, increasing the strength.

Electrotherapy

UST

Therapeutic ultrasound is a treatment commonly used in physical therapy to provide deep heating to soft tissues in the body. These tissues include muscles, tendons, joints, and ligaments. Ultrasound in physical therapy is different than diagnostic ultrasound. With the latter, healthcare providers use ultrasound to see the inside of the body. For example, diagnostic ultrasound lets healthcare providers check on a fetus during pregnancy.

TENS

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) is a method of pain relief involving the use of a mild electrical current. TENS may be able to help reduce pain and muscle spasms caused by a wide range of conditions(arthritis, period pain, pelvic pain caused by endometriosis, knee pain, sports injuries).

IFT

Interferential Therapy is one of the types of electrotherapy used for the management of pain. It is basically used for the treatment of Chronic, Post Traumatic, and Post-surgical pains. The basic principle involves the utilization of effects of low frequencies (<250pps) without painful or unpleasant side effects. The major advantage of IFT is that it produces effects in the tissue, exactly where required without unnecessary and uncomfortable skin stimulation. This technique is widely used to elicit muscle contraction, promote healing and reduce edema.

SWD

Diathermy is a therapeutic treatment most commonly prescribed for muscle and joint conditions. It uses a high-frequency electric current to stimulate heat generation within body tissues. The heat can help with various processes like increasing blood flow, relieving pain, improving the mobility of tissues as they heal.

IRR

Infrared irradiation (IRR) is electromagnetic energy invisible to the human eye, having a wavelength between 760nm to 1mm. It used for the relief of pain and stiffness and to enhance healing of soft tissue lesions and skin condition, by producing the superficial thermal effect in the tissues.

Traction

Traction is a manual technique designed to reduce pressure on affected vertebral discs that are causing pain. Traction is a manual 'stretching' of the spine which reduces pressure on the discs and therefore reduces the individual's pain.
